Day One

So here's the new year. Wee. I guess this is the part of the year where everyone starts their "new life" or whatever. Well, this is the year that I'm jumping on the bandwagon and finally committing to three resolutions like everyone else in the world. The first two are just for me, no need to put that shit out on the internet for any one to read. However, I feel the need to document this social experiment for the world to read about and enjoy.

"This Book Will Change Your Life: 365 Daily Instructions for Hysterical Living"

I've had this thing sitting on my shelf for ages, who knows how long. I dimly remember buying it after seeing a friends copy and being in love with the idea of doing something that could make my life that different. But, being a the ultimate procrastinator, I never actually got around to going through the motions. Well, not this year. Last year was probably the worst year of my life and I refuse to go through another shitty year.

I've been trying to find that website for the book, but it seems to have disappeared. But in doing that research I'm realizing I'm not the first person to do this but it doesn't seem to have been done in a while.

So here it goes, Day One.

This is the "warm-up", meaning I can choose something simple from a list provided or I can open to a random page in the book and complete that days task. Seeing as the list includes stuff like holding the phone to your other ear (something I already do), deciding which of your toes is the prettiest or jaywalking, I think I'm going to go with a random page and hope for the best.

Day 251: Read Your Own Palm

It's kind of awesome that I got this one because I've been interested in palmistry my whole life.

My love line is fairly long, so I guess I'll know love.
My travel line  is very thin, but unbroken.
My fate line is shorter than my love line, so I guess my lover is going to kill me.
My heart line is pretty deep, maybe I'll become a social worker like they suggest...
My life line isnt really thick or thin.
And my Mount of Venus is fairly pronounced, but everyone that knows me pretty much know that I have a lot of sex.

Well, that was pretty easy. I dont think it's a true palm reading though, but whatev's. This for fun, right?
